Katie Cunnagin, LMT
My mission as a massage therapist is to partner with clients on their journey to wellness. I strongly believe in the body’s innate ability to heal and that by taking active roles in our own health we can achieve optimal wellbeing. I value living with integrity, loving without judgement, honoring the earth and all who reside here, being a positive member of the local community, and traveling and feeling connected to the global community.
I graduated from the University of Washington in 2007 with degrees in Spanish and Latin American Studies. I spent over a decade working with kids and coaching recreational gymnastics in Seattle. In 2014 I left the busy chaos of the big city, traveled the world for a year, and ended up in Bend. At this point I enrolled in Sage School of Massage and Esthetics and completed the 720 hour massage therapy program in 2016. My experience working with athletes paired with the strong foundation I gained through school in anatomy, kinesiology and injury assessment contribute to my approach as a massage therapist. I like to figure out the cause of the problem and work toward a solution rather than focus solely on the symptoms.
My vision is to be an integral part of the alternative health community in Bend. I am so happy to be a part of the team at Synergy Health and Wellness where I get to do just that every day! I am honored to serve the community within an organization that is dedicated to the HAES (Health at Every Size) philosophy, and to empower others to take mindful approaches to bettering their overall health.
