Emily Lutz, RDN, LD

The Synergy team is thrilled to welcome Emily Lutz, RDN to the crew. Emily will be offering medical nutrition therapy to clients with a variety of concerns as well as serving our public health/WIC clients.
Emily's Philosophy:
As a dietitian my passion lies in helping others realize that they are capable of having a
positive and peaceful relationship with food; free of restriction and stress. I believe that this
can be a reality for anyone. My goal is to assist in bringing this to the surface so others
can find confidence in their attitudes and behaviors surrounding nutrition. We can accomplish this no matter what disease state or health status you may find yourself in. I love working closely with my clients to develop individualized medical nutrition therapy, all while treating them as real people and not just another medical patient.
Emily's Background & Education:
I completed my dietetic internship at Oregon Health & Science University and am an alumni
of Oregon State University, where I completed my bachelors degree in 2021. During my
internship I had the opportunity to work with the Synergy team for a handful of weeks,
learning the rewards and challenges of being an RDN. I fell in love with their private practice
setting and now that I am an official member of the team I can say that I have my dream job.
Between my internship and starting at Synergy I spent time studying to get my Certification
as a Lactation Consultant. I adore working with mothers and children and am excited to use
my new credential while helping out WIC participants.
I grew up in Portland, Oregon, completed all my schooling within the state and I am proud to
be a true Oregonian. Living in Bend was a life-long goal of mine and I can happily say that it
has lived up to all of my expectations! Outside of work my favorite activities include: being
active outside or at the gym, spending time with children I used to nanny, and experimenting with art or cooking.
