MORE DETAILS:
WORKSHOP 1: April 27th Intro to a Body Trust Approach to Healing and Breaking the Cycle of Dieting
Come learn what exactly the bt approach is, how it's different, and explore some of it in action as we examine the cycles of dieting and consider a different direction.
WORKSHOP 2: June 8th Journey from Hunger to Satisfaction and Pleasure (yes, you can!)
Many of us are disconnected from our bodies and are not hearing, listening, or able to honor our body's cues. But we can get it back! Come discuss and explore hunger cues and the differences between fullness, satisfaction, and how pleasure heals us.
WORKSHOP 3: Aug 24th Deconstructing Body Shame
We'll look at our own unique body story and start to examine where the harmful messages crept in. From here we can start to decide which messages to keep, and which ones to shed. We'll discuss how messages of body shame harm all of us, look at the wide-spread nature and harm of body oppression, and discuss how this work is not only individual but also can help heal community.
October Women's Retreat! Date TBD
Who is this group for?
You! All genders, ages (teen and up), races, orientation, culture, sizes. While we'll be centering the voices and experiences of those among us whom are most often suppressed and oppressed, all are welcome here. Diet culture and body shame confuses and harms all of us.

Hi! I'm RanDee, certified Body Trust provider and facilitator of these workshops.
Participating in these offerings is one of the most powerful things I've experienced. The power of community, hearing your story echoed in the story of others, and realizing that not only are you not broken--but that you're not alone, is the greatest gift. The wisdom and the healing comes from each person in the group, and I'm just here to call the meeting into order. I hope you'll join me.
Here's what you can expect from the workshops and what I want you to know:
-A judgment-free space to connect with authentic people who are all learning and roaming together
-Start to recognize your own voice and wisdom, then practice listening and honoring it
There is nothing wrong with you. You are not broken. You are resilient and wise, and that's what's gotten you to this point in life. Now you're ready to examine and start to release messages, behaviors, and patterns that are no longer serving you. You can be trusted. Your body can be trusted. I'm honored to walk alongside you as we all remember that.
Healing Body Trust is a workshop to help you find your way home to yourself. Consider this a homecoming experience and resuming residence in your body.

Here's what some past participants have said:
-"The most impactful aspect for me was the shared experience with the group members combined with the safe, supportive, and empowering space you helped to hold for us."-Jessica, group participant
-"The most impactful part of our group was finding new friends and a community. Not only did I create friendships with amazing, compassionate, gorgeous, kind, and spirited women but they helped me see those same qualities in myself.
I liked being able to have a check-in time and grounding time--two things I rarely do for myself. Being in a community during those times made me see how important it is to have support and share our struggles."-Kirsten, group participant
-"It made me feel less alone and more normal. My life is changing in a way that isn’t diet culture like."-group participant
-"The first night, you asked what we hoped to get out of the class. I said “peace.” And I did get that. Freedom from the endless drone of my inner critic, in particular."-group participant
-"When I realized that everyone in the group had some variation of the same story, that meant it wasn't just me. None of us had ever met, yet our backstories had frightening similarities. That's when I realized the forces moving us to "diet" were external, not anything we'd dreamed up on our own. We aren't broken; societies messages are harmful."-group participant
-"I now understand that the number on the scale is not a measure of who I am, not even close. "-Sue, group participant
-"The Body Trust workshop I attended was AMAZING! A wealth of information and inspiration to look at our old self-destructive programs and learn how to approach our bodies more lovingly!"-Aryn, webinar participant
