Deep Tissue Massage for

Injury Treatment &

Prevention

Deep Tissue Massage incorporates various types of deep tissue work to offer several therapeutic positive effects. Deep tissue massage doesn't always mean deep pressure, rather just reaching the deeper layers of musculature. It is used to address acute and chronic pain by eliminating adhesions and restrictions deep within muscle fibers. Specific movements are used to target deeper layers of the body's own tissues to massage the surrounding muscles.

Acupressure, Tui Na, Gua

Sha, and Cupping

Acupressure and Tui Na:  Often called acupuncture without the needles, instead of needles, acupressure involves the application of manual pressure to specific points on the body. This pressure is paired with various movements, stretches, and strokes; the combination of therapies is called Tui Na.

How We Personalize

Your Massage

We meet your individual needs through your massage therapy treatment. At each appointment we conduct a thorough intake to find out what your needs are and often will combine therapies in order to give you optimal results.

Massages are unique to the individual, and we don’t apply a “one size fits all approach.” Our massage therapists listen carefully to your needs, communicating throughout the session, and using intuition to understand how your body responds to the massage.

Tips for making the most of your massage appointment!

  • Hydrate
Drinking plenty of water before and after your massage will help to flush out toxins, reduce soreness and maintain mobility.

  • Move
Keep your joints and tissues lubricated and moving smoothly by using them!  Taking a walk after your appointment can help you to integrate all of the
    positive changes from your massage.

  • Breathe
Your body needs oxygen to perform many basic chemical processes. Breathing consciously and with intent can help you feel relaxed, refreshed  and enlivened.

  • Pick a time of day that won't stress you out
We are all busy but rushing to your appointment or having to be somewhere immediately after may take away from the entire experience. Try your best to
carve out some time to fully absorb the benefits of your massage.

  • Come with an open mind and be ready for change
Be willing to let go of tension and experience your body in a new positive way.
