Rosalie Tierney, RDN, LD, CDCES
I'm Rosalie, and I'm delighted to be part of the Synergy team. After dedicating several years to working as a dietitian and diabetes educator in telehealth, I'm thrilled to transition back to face-to-face interactions within the community. I offer nutrition services and comprehensive support for diabetes management.
My nutrition philosophy revolves around empowering individuals to make informed choices that align with their unique preferences, cultural backgrounds, and health goals. I have an “all foods fit” mentality that recognizes the relationship between nutrition and enjoyment of food. Focusing on what we can add to meals to create better balance allows for flexible and sustainable food choices, all while improving health outcomes. I am an advocate for supporting local food systems so individuals can access fresh, nutrient-rich foods while promoting community and environmental sustainability. We have a great local food scene here in Central Oregon!
I graduated from Indiana State University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. My interest in diabetes care quickly developed during my internship at Indiana University Health, where I had the privilege of learning from skilled dietitians and endocrinologists. I received my Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification to better understand and support individuals living with diabetes, empowering them to manage their condition effectively and improve their overall quality of life. I enjoy integrating the ever-changing landscape of diabetes management with personalized lifestyle interventions to help my clients attain stable blood sugar levels.
When I’m not nerding out about diabetes care, I enjoy gardening, cooking, traveling, and spending time in Bend’s beautiful backyard.
